Sponsor Licence Suspension? Act Fast
Protect Your Business. Don’t Risk Revocation.
If your sponsor licence has been suspended, every day counts. A delayed or weak response could lead to revocation, loss of skilled workers, and serious business disruption. We help UK employers respond quickly, defend their licence, and restore compliance with confidence.
What Does Sponsor Licence Suspension Mean?
A suspension means the Home Office believes your organisation has failed to meet its compliance duties. During suspension, you cannot assign new Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), and your business is removed from the public sponsor register.
Why Sponsor Licences Get Suspended
Most suspensions are triggered by compliance failures such as poor record-keeping, inadequate Right to Work checks, or failure to report changes in salary or roles.
20 Working Days to Respond
When you receive a suspension notice, you have just 20 working days to respond. Your response must be detailed, fully evidenced, and focused on correcting issues. Missing the deadline can result in revocation with no right of appeal.
What Happens If Your Licence Is Revoked?
- All CoS are cancelled immediately.
- Sponsored workers’ visas may be curtailed.
- Pending applications are refused.
- Cooling-off period up to 5 years applies.
